What happened to the old forum?

Hi guys, what ever happened to the old nzmopar forum and registry? It seemed at the time Carl was pretty dedicated.

Good to see a new forum!

It’s a long story, but the short version is:

Carl lost interest for whatever reason
Carl tried to sell the old forum for heaps of money
Nobody could afford it
Carl deleted the old forum
I waited a few months and made my own forum.

But anyways! Welcome to the new forum make yourself at home

Yes good that it is going again, Being Mopar focused, the information and tips are great from many experienced people. We can build it up again!

I logged in here thinking it was the original !! WRONG. Glad to see it up and running again.
Hope the registry list starts up again, good to see other people with similar vehicles..

the registry list is a good idea,any thoughts on starting a new one Richard.a few cars have changed hands and new projects are aloof

The registry will take a lot more work to rebuild. And starting again from scratch will take ages to get a decent amount of cars on their.

It would have been nice if Carl had of handed over the reigns to me because I would have been happy to keep things going.

Anyways. We are just about to hit our first year anniversary on the forum, so I am going to renew the domain for another 4 years.

I do miss the old Mopar forum
Was it actually deleted as you say, or is it still lurking there waiting for someone with the coin to come along ?

Its a shame that all the old topics are gone, especially all the resto projects including my own. Now days there are less people going onto forums so questions take longer to be answered. If we had all the old topics still, with a quick search a lot of info could be found and answered with out the need or having to ask, unfortunately we can`t do that now.
