thought i would start a thread in the right place for this build . So here goes , it was a good car until i cut the roof of and all the rear floor .

after that i built new rear rails and fitted a roll bar and rear legs ,then cut of all the inenr guards and made a detachable front panel

and now i am doing the rear tubs got one in last week and made a start on the other side today

What is the induction setup? is the twin superchargers or something?

yip sure is richard ,just want to try something different , thats why its going to have twin bonnet scoops

thanks richard like to be different . got a bit done today the tubs are in just a little more grinding and clean up to do ,then i can make the panels that cover the chassis rails and parcel shelf . got it up the right way now , forget how low the roof is forever hanging my head on roll cage .

one more bit made today cover over diff between the chassis rails, just have to run it though the bead roller

done a bit of rust around the boot edge and welded in the cover over the chassis

one more panel welded in and one more made and got the boot hinges welded in and the boot lid on

had a bit of a break from the car over the last few weeks , but back into it now got the battery holder made up and a little bit of boot floor just behind the tubs .

That looks really cool. Is that bracing pipe in the boot for a roll cage? or just stiffening up the back?

roll cage got to finish the front yet

last bit of boot floor made , just got to weld it in . also getting a alloy fuel tank made , be ready in a few weeks

3 sides welded in finish it tomorrow

all chassis work done , have to get it out to sand blasters next

well iam one happy chap , just had the cert guy around and he is happy with all my work and my welding on the chassis ,and roll cage is all good even happy with my headers running though the fire wall so of to sand blasters next then start to under seal it all

got it back from sand blasting and etch primed ,and picked up new fuel tank

got a little bit of sealer on just around the exhaust covers on the fire wall . and made a good start on my custom dash

Looking good Con, your not scared of a bit of work thats for sure, what a massive project.

lost the plot last week and smashed it to bits , so trying again ,bit tidyer and no ugly gaps

Way to make the rest of us feel inadequate about our projects mate:) Nice head unit.. hope you're gunna have it amped up to hear it over those blowers! Love your work.

thanks mate , and yes heeps of room in the back for two subs and amps . will go were the rear set used to be only a two seater this one

little more done today , painted the floor , filled a few holes in fire wall , and primed the motor , think ill paint the motor blue , think it goes best with the pink .

What type of radiator is that your using mate? Im thinking of putting in a alloy one to replace the original type.

not sure got it of a mate,it was in a car he got so we swapped

motors now blue and finished my 383 motor mounts

tipped it up on its side and started seam sealing

thanks mate all painted now , net under seal it then another coat of black

all done underneath ,under seal all done and a coat of gloss black on it , x member and diff getting sand blasted , then paint and fit . looking forward to getting it rolling

Looking good, that wont be rusting for years to come, looks well protected.

Thats looking really good mate, love how the dash looks. Starting to take shape now

i hate the big hole between the grill and radiator panel , so have spent all day making a panel to fill the gap , only half done but looks heeps better

thanks mate . took it down to work today to put it on the 4 post hoist , just to get a measurement of the 4 link arms .

took it to the all aussie day good show 200 cars ,but most were just ford holden runabouts . only a few real cars

nar the judges are one eyed and give it to the same car year after year .not that i care i do it for me and dont give a fuck what others think

Good on ya mate. Thats the only way to be. Im not one for shows, most times its the judges friends who win the trophies anyway. I much prefer to just cruise in a valiant then to see the same cars over and over at the same shows.
