Safari tailgate

Anyone pulled apart/ reassembled a Safari tailgate. Got a 65 model and putting back together, didn't pull apart . Having trouble getting the inside handle/leaver to fit into the geared brackets inside the tailgate. Run out of room.

I've got a complete one that you could have looked at. I don't look on here much so have only just seen your post.

Hi John,
Yes got it sorted, had to insert the lever bar into the 2 locks and slide one upend in and then the other. If that makes sense .
